It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Hansen, a valued member of the hollow metal door and frame industry since 2003, and a beloved member of the DCI family. He was recently killed in a motorcycle accident. Brian was a key part of the DCI inside sales leadership team; a mentor to some, example to others and friend to all. Brian applied his extensive expertise every day in service to customers, colleagues and the industry as a whole, with courtesy, warmth, humor and dedication.

Brian is survived by his wife and two adult children.

In view of his far-reaching spirit, we encourage all who would like to attend the Memorial Service for Brian to join us. It is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 25th, and we know it would be a comfort to his family to have your support.

We would also like to let our valued customers know that during this time as we support Brian’s family and honor his memory, we will have limited office coverage. Your deadlines and orders remain as important to us as ever and will be shipped and ready at Will Call as previously scheduled.

Should you feel the desire to reach out in some way, cards can be sent to his family in care of DCI.

Thank you for your understanding.

Bob Briggs

Brian spent his career in the hollow metal door and frame manufacturing industry.  Through his depth of experience in a variety of roles in the industry, including production management, installation and sales, Brian acquired an expertise that he applied each day in service to customers, colleagues and the industry as a whole.

All of us will miss his valued contribution to our industry.  We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to his wife Danniele, children Amanda and Lance and all his precious family and friends.
